OK - slightly 'tabloid' thread title but reading this you could come to that conclusion

but the driver struggled to find the new-build house as the East of England Ambulance Trust's satellite navigation system was not up-to-date and "there were too many blue doors".

The inquest heard this problem had meant crews were regularly forced to use local knowledge to find exact addresses.
erm - just like people always have and always will need to do, because Google/TomTom etc. cannot map everything the instant it's created/changed - I'd say "having a sense of direction and the ability to ask questions" should be part of first-responder training tho surely!?

They then talk about an ambulance stopping for fuel because they'd not been told the Air Ambulance had been despatched (meaning they could have gone there and done what that the first responder could not!?)

We've read some harrowing tales of medical neglect recently - in the US there are claims that medical errors are possibly the third-biggest killer of people who die in hospital - but that article reads like people trying to blame a baby's death on a series of unfortunate events...

I'm not saying they should have said "st happens - move on" but the satnav thing is nonsense (we cannot expect those to be infallible) and I don't get the refuelling thing!?
