Returned to my car in Sainsburys Guildford today.
Only to find a 4x4 door being pushed up against my car by the driver in the next space.

I politely asked the woman to take care.

Received a pile of verbal abuse and was told car park scrathes are to be expected.
Suggested I open my door against her vehicle.
Answer was...'That would be stupid my car is bigger than yours'

Not being able to cope with that level of logic I drove off.

Did she think that its a game of car size top trumps or something?

"My car is bigger than yours therefore you lose" kind of deal?

However if I saw somebody damaging my car I think that's full licence to go Ape st

Not just me with tts in car parks then.

Though if that was me id happily clunk into her car with my door as the 350 has the B&Q style handles which will hit her car first and will take a smack to no detrimental effect.

If she kicks up fuss, just claim that its 'a car aprk scratch, its to be expected'

(Note: don't do this, I am just jaded by todays thoughtless prat)

It does seem to be the only reasonable option...

If she questions it just say you saw a pretty hefty bird fly over earlier.

Not at all, if people were careful then car park scratches/dings ought to be a rare occurrence.

Stupid argument to about the size of the vehicle, if she is aware she has a big vehicle she should park it appropriately.

The other excuse that gets on my fking nerves is "but your car is old so it's OK"

What really annoyed me was the I don't give a s**t attitude.

My old Volvo is only worth about £3K.
But its £3K of my money.

Its a silver car so bodywork repairs are expensive.

Have fun.

I was at the supermarket the other day getting out of my car and heard a crunch. A guy had pulled into a space in a 207 hitting an Audi on his way in, his Mrs got out and had a look followed by him, they saw me looking at them but being suspicious, I noted the registration numbers down.

When I'd finished, I came back to my car to see the 207 had moved along 4 spaces, nothing was on the windscreen of the Audi so I took it upon myself to leave my details with the reg and description of the 207, I also left a note on the screen of the 207 telling him he was a c**t. I got a phonecall about 30 minutes later from the owner of the Audi, the 207 was still there so I told him what happened. About 20 minutes later I had another call thanking me saying they had got the 207's insurance details

"To be expected", impecable logic that, no they arent, I would bet if you went round to her house, pissed next to the toilet, left a hot brew on her nice table or tramped dog st onto her carpet, that defence may go out of the window.

Some people dont care about their car but I care about mine, I saved for ages to buy it and I want it as it came from the factory, if anyone said that to me I would react very badly, a punch to the throat, is to be expected !

Happened to me whilst sitting in the car. Got out and the bloke just said sorry and walked off leaving me with a nice dent in the door. Followed and was then told the f off. Rung admiral and he ended up with a fault accident against his name. We have never ever dinged another car.

Wish someone had left a note when i came back to find my whole rear qtr scraped frown

I wish someone had left a note on my wife"s SLK a few weeks ago in a Waitrose car park. It was left with a dent in the wing, scratches on the bumper and scratches and a chunk out of the wheel. As it was parked right by the door someone must have seen it but obviously not. Plus, the CCTV "doesn't work". Nice

I would put money on supermarkets just refusing to get involved. I bet they make damn sure their CCTV works if they are robbed
