I'm pretty new to the cleaning of cars, I usually just paid for a hand car wash. However after having my car scratched by them I started doing it myself. At that point I had a civic and was just using just pound shop soap and wax and just left it at that.
Now I've just bought a new crz I want to look after it. I've bought some kleers products as a mate has recommended them. I've got the shampoo, the paint detailer, and the wax.
I'm under the impression that I use them in that order as well. However my friend also recommended I get some AG super resin polish, but I'm not sure where this fits in?
I've got all the glass cleaners, wheel cleaners, ect and I'm ok with them.
I used to clean my car once a month, but I've been told I ought to do it weekly. Would I use all the products every time I wash the car.
I would really appreciate any help/advice.
Thanks

Detailer spray is normally used after washing/rinsing/drying to improve the shine, remove watermarks and increase the longevity of the wax coating. Some like to use it after every wash, others more infrequently.

SRP is a cleanser/filler product with very very mild abrasives. It improves the look of less than perfect paintwork by helping to remove contaminants and oxidised paint, filling minor swirls and scratches and leaving a glossy layer. If you follow it up with a layer of wax or sealant it'll help it last longer.

If you wax your car then it'll remove existing layers of wax so it's not something you'll need to use often. If you only use SRP then you'll need more frequent applications.

Very much down to the individual and the amount of dirt on the car. The more often you wash the car the more paint marring through washing you can get, but the less often you wash it the more chance there is for dirt in the nooks and crannies to hold moisture and start corrosion and of course the car will look dirtier.

There's no right or wrong answer, it's entirely up to you, your driving patterns, the car in question and how much spare time you have.

Well you could if you wanted to, but waxing is an occasional process as and when the existing layer appears to be diminishing. How infrequent is down to the individual wax, how often you wash the car, pre wax paint prep and whether any products such as SRP are used prior to waxing, weather conditions, etc.

Detailing spray - no need to use it every time, but again you can if you so wished.

I only use clay/paint cleanser once a year, wax about once a month and wash the car weekly, finishing off with detail spray.
