Its an in line fan. I believe they were from LEC fidges back in the day. They were originally purchased from an aircon industry supplier nearby.
Certain SELV coaxial extract fan motors from vent axia can be used as an alternative.

Sounds logical although I don't have a LEC Fidge to check with or even a fridge I just could not find a TVR part that looked like that LOL maybe at some point someone had adapted it to give extra air into the car who knows.

LEC was the family business of David Purley GM, who was decorated for his valiant attempt to save Roger Williamson from his burning car in the 1973 Dutch GP.I believe they were from LEC fidges back in the day. They were originally purchased from an aircon industry supplier nearby.

He was also probably the only person to successfully campaign the Cosworth GA engine in a race car, in the Formula 5000 series

SAS captain I believe who is recorded to have survived a failed parachute landingHe was also probably the only person to successfully campaign the Cosworth GA engine in a race car, in the Formula 5000 series
George medal holder
Survivor of the highest recorded G impact, somethin like 159mph - 0 in 26 inches !!!!
I think They were trying to get a memorial to him at Bognor where the empire was built...Now a supermarket.
Prideaux you really should try to re-furb the original fan rather than source the vent axia replacement...It carries much more of a legacy for your car.

Not any more, took them to the tip yesterday after Pat H called them "rusty metal bits".
Well he should know he has boxes full of very rusty bits but would exchange for just rusty bits
Obviously these fans have a TVR application somewhere is anyone going to enlighten us or shall we ask an Expert!?

Thanks SteveYour Clue! of there being a pair has led me to look further and although the bulkhead on the V8 SE has been removed by Duncan at this point further research in my files makes me think they used them either side just under the dash in the bulkhead beside the bonnet release as a fan independently for either side on the Few SE V8 Tuscans made.
