Am i missing something here; as an example

2011 mitsubishi diesel, VW engine, low mileage £7500-8000

Seems astonishing value for money.

I thought scam - using a user name similar to a main dealer "lookers"

lookersmotors
Positive feedback: 0%|Feedback score: 0

Then I looked on classifieds:

Maybe they just devalue like a stone shaped object.

No, they are all in that price range. I'm amazed myself, thinking of pulling the trigger on one over the next few weeks.

Depends how long you want to keep it for, as the devaluation % per year will probably not decrease. If you want it for 2 years then I'd say possibly. If you want to run it into the ground (probably not the worst choice of car) then go for it.

I quite like them, the dealers are good in my experience as well.

I'd be buying for the long run. 5 years+

If i'm not mistaken they have an 8 year warranty as well!

I just can't get on with the looks of the 5 door. The standard 4 door saloon looks far better - a miniEvoX with good styling and no attitude.

3yr warranty.. hyundai have a 7 or 8 year warranty.

I had a '08 GS4 saloon, looked great and went well. I couldn't get on with the skeleton that lived in a biscuit tin under the dashboard that was constantly banging one out! maybe the newer ones are more sorted.

I agree with vikingaero, 5 doors look bland, 4dr saloons look like an evo x if you squint in the right light wink
