Making chicken breasts less dull quickly
Discussion
Had chicken, chips and gravy tonight. To try and give the chicken a bit of flavour, before a put it in the oven I poured a drop of oil over it with some salt, pepper and chilli powder, rubbed it in and banged it onto a hot frying pan for a couple of minutes each side. It's not going to worry Jamie Oliver but it had the desired result: a bit more flavour than usual.
What other quick, easy and cheap (really important!) ways are there of achieving something similar? Ideally as quick, easy and cheap as above!

Chicken is pretty bland, even if using free range. Its also quite easy to really overcook it and turn it into a horrid dry bit of meat.
I used to use breast in currys etc, but with the rising cost of free range meat, Ive found I tend to just make vege curries etc now and not bother with the meat.
I do like making goujons tho.
The bake in the foil bag technique works well for chicken too.

Ramekin, into this pour soy sauce, vinegar ( palm or sugar cane vinegar ) also add a chili and crush it then squeeze a fresh lime to finish, .....or vinegar again this just time just crush a garlic clove .
Both the above are served as accompaniments to chicken and fish dishes here and used as a dip.
