Well it looked like I was going to have to sell the Cerb this summer to buy a house, but luckely I have managed to scrape enough together with out selling, I guess the fact that I didn't answer many of the people wanting to buy was a good indication I wasn't ready to sell!

So hears to another 6 years ownership!driving

Good to hear. A very sensible decision.

All these people selling their TVRs to buy houses is very silly. I wonder how long it is before they are sitting in there new house thinking "why oh why did I sell the thing I loved, the thing with real soul that made me smile everyday to buy this big pile of lifeless bricks".

Breaks my heart reading that, we're getting plans drawn up in new year for large extension and the Cerb may have to go. Growing family just takes priority over Cerb, need to find £60k ish for build but I'm going to spit blood before I put my baby on the market !

Double garage is part of the extension plan and I want my Cerb parked in the middle of it smile

But reality may bite ......

I was in the same boat, hung onto the car for ages, but the house had to be done and it now no longer sits in the garage!

My Tuscan went a couple of years back for a deposit for the house. It's hurt every minute since.

On a brighter note, I now have the house, I'm married and I should hopefully be the owner of a Cerb next year.

i'm 30, currently still living with parents, but well on my way to having a deposit for a house.

I have my cerb because of a house deposit with the ex which was spent on the car. That was three years ago.

About another 5-6k should have my deposit for a house, so end of the year should be looking.

First things first Garage, Off road parking, then what ever the house is.

I've often thought about selling to get a house. but feel with the blood sweat and tears that i couldn't sell for a house, and would be wanting another which i wouldn't be able to afford for a good few years.

Think with cars i've done lots of things backwards. Since 23 i've had cars with V8's and at 27 my cerb.

Roll on house, well garage then a few in depth jobs on the cerb to do.

Gets annoying doing bits on the drive, having to put everything away when you need it the next day, not to mention how dusty my cerb currently is.

I'm 32, married for 7.5 years and have 2 children, and still living in our first property. We do want to move but when we do it's going to stretch us right out.

I went self employed in 2012 and can't get a new mortgage right at the moment due to lack of history. We decided to just buy the Cerbera whilst we had the disposable income as it's unlikely to happen for a while after buying the next house. I'm hoping to squeeze in my PPL too or I can wave that goodbye for a while also!

I'm 30 and lucky to still have my Cerb.

Brought it when I was 28 (not stricly true, my Missus brought it for me) and I was made redundant 6 months later while in the process of buying a house. So I drove the car until it was out of fuel and parked it up. Then it was 6 months of temp jobs and long commutes so the Cerb didn't get much use. After finding a proper job it was back to the house hunt. We were lucky to find a house with two garages that took a while to purchase and came in under budget so I managed to keep the car. I've been close a few times and I owe a few family members money but it was worth it to have a garage with a Cerb in.
