Just bought one but the seatbelts don't retract well, I pressume these are off an Astra or something anybody know where I can get some new ones without going to TVR dealer?

are you sure that the seat backs aren't crushing them ie all the way back just a thought as mine rub when seat all the way back!

As you've answered your question, it seems a little pointless giving my two pennies' worth but...

Mine have a wonderful habit of not working till I turn the car 180 degrees, then they work fine. Ah, idiosyncracies... welcome to TVR ownership!

Mine don't either. I just make sure I don't trap them in the doors if I get out .

Welcome to the fold, the seatbelts have a habit of not retrating properly it's just the way they are, even worse if the car is at an angle!

I've not been a member for long, since July time. I had a problem with the passenger seat belt, well nothing a big screwdriver and hammer couldn't fix

...and it didn't fix it really, the GF got a bit concerned about being in the car with me just holding on the flapping belt!

So then I ordered a new one from TMS TVR and it worked a treat

My belt does get caught on the underneath of headrest, it's a bit annoying...might go for a harness soon

Replace them with a real of kite marked gaffa tape!
(I went for the harness option)

Yes, be careful with this, as the belt can rub against the plastic rear screen and eventually wear through - I know!!

As well as all the above reasons I feel that as the top loop sits so far back it;
a) does get in the way of the hood when folded
b) (the main reason I think) makes the belt itself drag along the carpet all the way down to the tensioner reel.
Some cars have those extension type loops that sit out toward the driver from where our upper loops are to stop this, or upper loops next to the headrest built into the seat.
Just mindless ramblings....
