Why would you want to keep a Griff? That's like having Keira Knightley giving you the come to bed eyes and sticking with Jo Brand because she's grateful!
It's known as 'brand loyalty'
... anyway, you would want it 'knightley'...

Swap mechanicals.

Peter old man, even for a die hard modifier like yourself, that's a bit excessive.Job jobbed in a weekend.
How much would a grief with a chimaera 400 engine then be saleable for?
Doesn't bear thinking about really.
As the OP can clearly afford to keep two TVRs in the drive/garage at once, albeit as a short term arrangement, the price difference between this Chimaera and the Griffith is unlikely to be the principal motivation for the change.
I think the two obvious choices are - blow it or 'replace' it (the engine that is).
Once you have owned a 500, nothing else will do IMO.

I just sold a 500 am very happy with the 430BV performance much as before TBH just feels more revvy than grunty bloody quick night and day from a std 400.How much would a grief with a chimaera 400 engine then be saleable for?
