Sorry to see this. Must have shook you up a little. Where did this happen? Road looks familiar.

Also I would agree with your view. Doubt there will be any chassis problems.

That looks pretty bad, glad you're okay, the biker is a lucky man/idiot, delete as appropriate!

Chimaera it is for the next few months, so it could be worse (I think)

Sorry to see this frown I hope it's a straight forward fix with no insurance hassles (like trying to slap Cat D markers on it!)

Sorry to see this! But wow - you were lucky! Must have been scary!!

If you need a recommendation for a perfect repair, then I know that Plasticman will do a great job for you.

I hope it all works out well smile

Bit of an arse that one but at least everyone was OK.

There looks to be a big hole in the middle of the road in one of those pics, I wonder if that's what caused the biker to loose control??

Right where the centreline should be? Possible I guess, although I'd imagine it started going wrong further up the road than that for the guy?

Glad all are unhurt too btw. I have a tendency to jump straight in and start thinking of repairing things without always mentioning what should be obvious - like the people - sorry!

Really sorry to see this. Nothing worse than sitting behind the wheel and watching it all happen with nothing you can do to prevent it!! As said thankfully no one was hurt and hopefully you car will get sorted.

Happened right on my door step too, a road I drive regularly.

Sorry to see that but everyone OK which is the main thing. As an observation - did it really need 3 emergency response vehicles in attendance ? (he says thinking about our overstretched Emergency Services) as presumably you called dialled 999 for help for the biker.

I'd guess at:

  • Fast Response Paramedic
  • Ambulance
  • Police
Each one would have their own role to play in the situation.

ETA: Just noticed that one of them was a Disco 4 (and not a fully blown ambulance as I 'assumed'). It'd be interesting to find out if it was kitted out to carry a patient... It's certainly big enough and possible.
