Diffuser Fins - Depth Q

How far out the back of the car are people running the new diffusers (Jetstream,TonyVan,Reverie etc) - Seem to remember a comment about grounding the fins out on speed bumps?
I would rather not re-invent the wheel if somone can say xx centimetres works well or xx cm's causes probs.

I would have said as far as you can with opening the rear clam.

Hi Al , think we finished on 100 mm but basicly it matched the std side returns already fitted . Secret is to taper them to a point at the front and have a pretty good curve at the back . I used a std dinner plate

TBH they all look similar, probably for a reason.

Stated mine yesterday , I will try my fins jutting out the back a bit more, until they ground out - Then I will take Simons advice and get the dinner plates out :

This is crazy, it looks like a damn F1 car. Suddenly wishing I'd had a higher attention span when I repainted mine last year.
