Anyone have one fitted?
Found this on my searches, seems ridiculously cheap. http://www.type911shop.co.uk/shop/article_5657/964...

I got that (C4 version) fitted to my 993, made a huge difference!
Was only £42 from design 911 though- same part, try there save some cash
Edit: give George a phone, when he did mine he bought a couple cos they were so cheap, dunno if he ordered a mixture or only C4 ones

Its on my want list ...... (Damn that Jackal). Like anything Porsche supplied, ring OPC. I have yet to pay more for items from there than anywhere else, especially with a bit of haggling when needed.*Found this on my searches, seems ridiculously cheap. http://www.type911shop.co.uk/shop/article_5657/964...
- Porsche supply only items that is, not the generic stuff.

I saw that mentioned on the type911 site. How much of a mod are we talking?
It'll be a winter project as i think that's about all the running i'm going to get to do this year :/
Earlier cars have two round bushes either end of the slide shaft where later cars have oblong bushes. It is these oblong bushes that are simply turned upside down on the RS and the new lever/fork installed. This gives a shorter throw & moves the stick closer to the driver. To do this on the early car the round hole must be cut to accept the oblong bushes. I had the mod done by my Indy, probably a 2 hour job. I like the mod, but changing to Castrol Syntax Gbox oil made the biggest difference tbh.

If I've understood you correctly my 92 c4 shouldn't need the modification?I like the mod, but changing to Castrol Syntax Gbox oil made the biggest difference tbh.

With the later C2 the oblong bush can be flipped and the RS bits fitted. On the C4 you cannot flip the bush as the torque tube is in the way. You can still fit the RS lever & fork and get a shorter throw but the stick position does not move up. You also have to dimple the undertray as the stick sits lower. Hope thats a bit clearer..Search on Rennlist, there are some good examples there with pics

Now it's mentioned Olie, I remember George telling me he had to modify the tunnel slightly on mine, but he only charged me an hours labour to fit and modify whole thing, so can't be all that hard It'll be a winter project as i think that's about all the running i'm going to get to do this year :/
