Interior Air Vents

I'm wondering if anyone has ever replaced the black plastic air vent flaps in the dash for a nicer /higher quality item.

I've been searching the internet all day but can't seem to find anything?

On my plate for producing one sometime this year - in theory...

Seems to be taking much longer than I would have thought to do.

One of a number of projects I'm doing atm, so I'll get to it when I
get to it

There was a list you could add yourself to, so when it is done, I can
put the info your way.

However, can't promise when it will be done. As said, working on a number
of projects (and project cars) and this was not head of the queue.

I'm guessing it's a little bit more complicated than replacing it with an Audi TT vent or the like?

I have looked at McLaren 12C air vents but the depth of tube is too much for the TVR, so I need to find a shallow depth with the correct width... I thought there would be nice universal ones available for kit cars and the such like?
