Hello from me

Have been watching the Porsche forums for sometime, but now feel I ought to say hello. Said a sad goodbye to my much loved T350 on Saturday and have been searching hard for my ultimate dream car.

Finally after missing a couple, one by only few hours, I pick up my 997 GT3 on Thursday evening. I must admit I can't wait. The car only listed on P/H on Saturday and after an hour or so drive up the Fosse Way on Sunday the deal was done. A one owner car in black.

I am aware of the banter between the two marques but I loved every minute of the TVR but the drive in the GT3 on Sunday was mind blowing. Here's to many hours and miles of fun.

If you're going to buy a 911, it has to have that engine.

Good man! GT3's are truly awesome machines

Be aware if you are running cup tyres, they can bite if you are not careful

Get them out on track and experience the full rev-range of those wonderful Mezger engines and you will never go back!

Just out of curiosity was the Black and Orange GT3 at OPC Leicester? It is just that it was mentioned it had been sold when I was in for their 50th anniversary celebration and the Fosse Road leads to Leicester.

Just been for a hoon on Saturday up into Wales. Very different beast to the T350.

Really sorry not to attend your charity function earlier this year, had good intentions to come and pitch a tent but would have had too come back on the same day.

Must pop down and see you boys soon, much quicker trip now

On Le Mans, can't do Classic as on holiday en famile but up for another road trip as big 50 this year. Few boys heading down to the Ring around Easter or maybe Le Mans.

Keep me posted Graham, always up for a road trip. After you had the interior redone on the T350, I thought she was a keeper!! I keep thinking of changing mine but fear the regret of doing so. The GT is a great car, seems you're pleased with it? Is it the same as Martins?
