I'm not moving to the dark side
Discussion
Was thinking of buying a Ferrari 599 but it just seemed daft as it would stay in the garage, being driven only when the sun comes out. So I’m keeping my DB9 which is still in totally mint condition. My wife gave me some pocket money on Saturday as we were in “that London” and I purchased a very low miles Merc SL500 to replace the BMW cab.
As you all know I am the most arrogant man in the world, and when the nice Mercedes salesman looked at me incredulously when I refused his GAP insurance, he asked me two questions
1. “What will you do if you write off your car and the difference is 10k to replace “ my answer “ ask my multi-millionaire wife to write me out another cheque”
2. “What will you do for a car if you seriously damage your car” my answer “open the other side of the garage and drive my DB9”
I did ask, but unfortunately y the didn’t sell GAP insurance to cover my income in the event of a divorce
The SL500 is a super car by the way……..it’s being delivered tomorrow

A sensible choice Michael .
I can see your point about the Ferrari.
I had to reluctantly sell my old Virage as it would never get driven .
We Captains of Industry live humdrum lives and finding the quality time to drive our supercars is problematic when the helicopter is so much quicker.
Glad go see your dear wife is still funding your hobbies.
Next time you are coming to London give me a ring and you can buy me a drink.

looks like the Gould's have been busy .....my brother purchased this last night from Stratstone Wilmslow
It is nice to see that the family Gould has not been affected by the current distressed state of the economy.
Does your brother also use his wife's inheritance ?
