Gaz Gold Professional Shocks/Coilovers
Discussion
I've had Gaz Gold Pro springs and dampers on for about 18 months. The lower spring rates have made the car more useable, despite adding poly bushes which are meant to give a harsh ride. I ran for about 1000 miles to let the springs settle, then fitted new tyres and had the geometry set up.
To sum up, good value especially on a pre-cat as you can move away from the very high original spring rates.

Cheers B&G, just what I wanted, an assessment from someone who has them fitted. At under £600 for all 4 corners they are a bargain. Regards, PeteTo sum up, good value especially on a pre-cat as you can move away from the very high original spring rates.
I have a Griff with AST shocks on and they are very very cost £1500 to get them fitted and set up by racing green
I also have a Cerb with Nitrons and they been on the car for years with a couple of refurbs
I bought a T350 recently and it was fitted with Gaz Golds and they either made my teeth rattle or just too soft and not for me so I was going to put Nitrons on but I was advised to try Gaz Monotubes, I had them fitted by Taylor TVR and at first they was too soft so took them up a notch, drove to Donington the next day and a nice ride up there not too hard and not too soft, took the T350 out on track just to see what it was like handling wise and with the Gaz Monotubes the car handled like a dream not rolling around all over the place nice and smooth under braking and went round the corners like it was on rails, I can only recommend them and my advise would be spend the extra money, at the moment they are £800 to buy and apparently they are going to put the price up soon

Cheers BnB, nice resume thank you. I shall look at the monotubes also! I have been looking at the new Gaz Gold Pros which are the billet aluminium versions which when I spoke with the stockist said they had been approved by Taylor TVR for the Griff/Chim. So will just gain knowledge over next month or so before committing myself. Regards, Pete I also have a Cerb with Nitrons and they been on the car for years with a couple of refurbs

Hi Pete,
Only done 100 miles on mine, and they need adjusting. So my opinion is limited, but they seem way better than the old shocks (as they should) much better under brakes. Only down side so far, over high speed undulations they seem a little harsh.
What I can say is that I was on track with some fitted to a chimp, they were fantastic round Cadwell Park, no movement under brakes and smooth through the corners. Everyone I spoke to said that, hard in the front and soft in the rear gave the better setup for them.

I was talking to Dan Taylor today who advised me to fit the monotubes in the first place and he has been testing the new Gaz golds which are 2 way adjustable but are they the ones you are looking to fit, I,am not sure and would check first , all I can say is talk to Dan as I really like the monotubes

I have the Golds on my new chim. They are not a patch on the Monos that are on my other chim.
Yep, the Monos are coming off and going on the new chim.
I have had the Monos since before they were on the market, (pre production set) and they really are good.
