You can - just not sure which size would suit the car better, wider = more grip but potential for fouling the arches, taller means a little more shock absorbtion and ?? problems...
Just that I run 255/35 225/40 on the Cerb. They are the same rolling radius to within a mm. I run 888's which must be the same carcass shape as the R1R's.Alistair H. said:

though obviously if the wider tyre is better then I'll happily pay the extra.rico23 said:
I run 245/40 R888 on the rear of my T350 and they only just fit inside. Height wise they are fine. I know 255 would not fit.
They do, 255/35 here and they fit fine.I value the extra grip at the rear more than a slightly harsher ride. The cars were dramatically under tyred as stock IMO.

Hi all,
Anyone run 245/40 on the rear of their 350 or Tam? I'm looking at Toyo R1Rs, can get a 225/40 on the front changing the 225/35 on there currently.
Current rears are 235/40, would taking the width to 245 make a lot of difference?
I run with 255 RiRs on the rear and I have to lift ride height an inch as it touches on the outer inside part of wheelarch (IYSWIM ?). But then I Sprint & Hillclimb mine?Anyone run 245/40 on the rear of their 350 or Tam? I'm looking at Toyo R1Rs, can get a 225/40 on the front changing the 225/35 on there currently.

I also run Kumoh's with 245 and am able to lower ride height again - nearly bought the 265 Kumoh's, maybe I'm glad I didn't ???

I know they fit on others but on mine they will not fit, I have tried! It is something to do with the chassis and they are all different so I've been told. The 245 only just fit for me.I value the extra grip at the rear more than a slightly harsher ride. The cars were dramatically under tyred as stock IMO.
