Andy Chilton Garage Fire - he's lost everything!

A devastating fire at Andy's home last night has caused the complete loss of his '53 Studebaker, his garage, his workshop and all his mechanical/electrical tools that he uses to make his living.
Unfortunately the blaze is thought to have been caused by a faulty freezer in the garage and because of the construction of the garage its not insured.
I have to say on behalf of Andy who is of few words lately, that the generosity of this - our community/hobby whatever you want to call it has come as a double shock as he can't believe that there are total strangers offering him anything and everything, in fact one bloke mentioned he had a roll top tool chest on ebay that was Andy's if he wanted it - he would remove it from sale and deliver it to him....Sir if you're on here I take my hat off to you and the many others offering cash, goods or items, the gestures are truly unbelievable. I also have to say that when I first saw the pictures of what had happened it left a very strange feeling deep in my gut, BUT, that is nothing compared to when I went round there and saw it for myself, pictures don't show the shear devastation and scale of what took place. Can PistonHeads admin make this a sticky and maybe start a fund link - even if only for a few months so as to get Andy on his feet and back in to work.
We're all gonna be down the ACE Café tomorrow for Hotrod Night collecting what we can and if anyone wants to bring tools etc then great. If someone is bringing anything big then please let us know here and we will bring a van as well. Our cars will have Head Gas Git stickers in them so just grab one of us for details. As we speak we've just had an email back from the ACE (Mark Wilsmore) who is putting together goodies that we can auction to raise yet more funds. We’re also looking at putting an auction/raffle type link on the FB donation page shortly.
