I'm looking for:

  • A K1800 bottom end, mileage unimportant, but should have a decent crank.
  • Caterham K dry sump pan for the Caterham OEM dry sump system.
  • Set of Omega or Caterham original R500 pistons 1800cc, std bore.
  • Set of steel (i.e not cast) spring caps for duplex springs.
  • Piper VVC blanking plate
  • Piper cam pulleys.
Anyone who's got any of this stuff spare, could you drop me a PM.

Thanks.

I've got a K series dry sump pump I'm trying to sell if you're after one of those?

I have a good set of Omegas that have the larger pockets for up to 34mm I let and 29mm exhaust.

Mail me if you are interested.

Hmm, only just seen this....

What is the impact of the valve cutouts on compression ratio? I have an unskimmed VVC head with std valves. How much would I need to skim it to get 11.5:1?

Presume the Omegas will need new rings? What kind of figure are you looking at?

The impact of the larger cutouts is minimal, you would need to skim by around 12 thou to get to 11.5:1. The rings are in very good order as the mileage on them is minimal, a light linish of the contact surfaces of the rings and new oil control rings would be fine.

Mail me direct for price.

It's knackered too. Salvage value is the used gaiters.
