E10 unleaded petrol
Discussion
I' m sure most of have read about the impending Euro ruling that the UK are aligning with. Namely that unleaded 95 octane unleaded petrol wil introduced with 10% ethanol starting soon.
Currently most 95ron has 5% ethanol.
Increases fuel consumption.
Harmful to older car parts; fuel tanks, rubbers, seals, brass line seals alloy etc.
Having read a bit more the good news is that the super grades of petrol will likely be ethanol free'ish ie v power, ultimate etc.
Look out for E10 labelling at the pump in the future denoting 10% ethanol mix.
