fuel sender

can anyone tell me what colour wires go on what terminals on on the fuel sender unit in the top of tank please as i have none conected

Can you tell me what your wire colours are?
I've got a 1995 Chimaera and without even looking, I can tell you the middle
of the three terminals on mine has a red/black wire (low fuel level warning light)

mines a 93 and i have a black which is conected to a pin on the sender which sticks out of the side of sender a black/with green a trace which runs along side that which is cut off i also have a blue wire and red/with a blue trace

I've a feeling this may not help much because it sounds like you've got a different sender but
here goes:

sender terminal with yellow spot next to it has a Green/Black wire attached
....black spot has a Black/Red wire attached (low fuel warning light)
....blue spot has a Blue wire attached

thats fantastic dave pardon the pun but spot on i have these spots on the top of sender but paid no attention to them as they looked very diy but sender does look new will try at the weekend fingers crossed youve been a great thanks chris
