Which alloy rad?

I'm finally getting around to sorting it

I've decided to go for an alloy rad ... but which one?

Do I buy an off-the-shelf one or get one made?

How many of you have fitted one?

Which one and how's it worked out for you?

Arron rad off the shelf.
Probably the cheapest,
Been on a year, quality fine, all ok.

Bear in mind some reports of failure of rads due to stress, with careful mounting it can be avoided.

I fitted a rad tech it's been fine the last few years really well made.

I am Radtec too. Very well made. Available via ACT as well I think.

I also have a radtec one, had it powder coated black by them for some protection.

Its recommended that they are removed every now and then to clean them out. What a pain in the arse to do.

As above stick with standard much cheaper and easier to fix if it cracks at one of the corners, spend what you save on some other performance tweaks !

Another Radtec here. Very good quality, mines been used in a seriously hot climate with no issues, it's been in for 3 years now..

very helpful and can fabricate any rad in aluminium, the TVR's are constructed using 50mm cores as standard.

These units are not cheap imports but are wholly made and fabricated in the UK.

I have an Aaron rad waiting to be fitted, price was a bit cheaper than radtec but it is not polished. Quality is good but I did have a lot of back and forwards to get exactly what I wanted in hindsight probably better going to ACT and ordering a radtec for ease.
