So going to the Nurburgring next month with Easytrack. As I haven;t really been there and driven in anger yet. I didn't really want to take this :-

So I have bought this, hopefully it will last two days, currently having all fluids, hoses etc etc changed

What do you think?

Don't think so. Looks like it had a sunroof in it's pre-trackday form.

Sean. Have you downlaoded the various videos on the net etc to see what you are letting yourself in for?

Hi Daz

I have been to the ring on a few private days. Was there in September but only for passenger rides, plus spent the weekend there last year.

Didn;t want to risk the RS, especially as it is most likely to be damp, so bought this.

Its a 924 Turbo Series 2 with Carrera GT body kit. Currently weighs 100kg and has approx 200BHP. Cost very little so if it gets wrecked can leave it there. If not bring it home and onto ebay it goes.

Fair comment....It has a cage, which helps, plus won;t be travelling as fast as I would be in the RS.

Sean, wish I was going with you...looks like you'll have a blast, especially if you aren't going round worrying about your car. It'll probably calm you down and make it safer all round.

100kg? That is really light Sean - just over half a superbike! I reckon that a sub 7 minute BTG time is possible with that kind of power to weight ratio

Have fun, good idea to have a Dedicated Ring Toy.

Great stuff Sean, you will be fine, take the first laps really slow, and then build yourself up from there, you will have a BLAST. Especially in a car that you dont mind dinging or scratching!

all the best

Adam thanks.

It looks very Mean!,

I guess the 924 will allow you to make the most of your trips to the Ring and not get too woried about possible damage..Will you trailer the car there?

Hey, Cuneus and UK952

Could this be the basis of a Titanic track car? Drop a 350bhp 944T engine in there for the same power to weight ratio of the Le Mans cars in 1981

Guys

Any 924 experts out there. We are having trouble with the car. The symptons are:-

The car starts and run fine, but as soon as you hit the accelrator and the revs rise the car just throws out black smoke, the turbo is new etc etc. The mechanic beleifs its over fueling and the suspected faulty part is the fuel regulator.

Anyone got any ideas???

Also anyone know where I can get a fuel regulator in a hurry?

Cheers Sean

Sean,

Have you got room for a passenger? Thats sounds a great idea!

Thinking of doing the ring soon and quite fancy some sighting laps......
