Re-mortgaging a property bought on the FirstBuy scheme

OK, I am starting to plan for next year.

We bought a property on the FirstBuy scheme in March 2012. We got a mortgage with Halifax on a fixed rate for 2 years, this will therefore end in 6% months.

I've not yet looked in to what Halifax will offer after the fixed period is up, but I am guessing it won't be very competitive. However, they are one of the few lenders that will work with the FirstBuy scheme I believe.

Does anyone know of the process when your on one of these schemes? Is there anyone who's done this on PH?

Any recommendations for brokers?
