Right then everyone.........just opened the sunroof and the thin bar has popped out of the runners

Had a good look nn the web for an installation manual or diagram and came up with zippo

The bar does have a fair amount of electrical tape around each end, assuming to replace an original plastic cap of some sort.......any ideas / tips on how to get it back in the runners?

I may have the plastic end caps on my old sunroof which was beyond repair. As to getting them back in the runners you really need to remove the 4 securing bolts at the rear and take the whole unit out and back in again at an angle. It is possible to just get the runners in but it very tricky and does involve some brute force and bending which is not desirable.

Just a note now we have spoken via email. The middle (thin) bar does not go in the runners it tucks into the edge of the sunroof material. Then as it moves back it can lift and fold the vinyl neatly.

Managed to get it all sorted.......thanks to Chris for the part and pics and Adrian for some "how too" advice
