In the roadworks on the M25 between J6 and J5, on the anticlockwise side just after Clacket Lane services, they have been pushing earth about with bulldozers for several months now, creating one massive mound of earth and several smaller ones.

At first I thought it was an extension of the services, but it seems to be a bit separate. It's a huge area they've bulldozed, I would estimate about the size of two football pitches, it surely can't be for a control centre for the "managed motorway" traffic after the roadworks are done?

Any ideas what they might be planning to build there?

Ignore me. It was a thread about some mounds of earth at the bottom of the M11.

Which is, of course, nowhere near Clacket Lane!

Me bro works for some piling company and he says widening stuff going on making 4 lanes.
Will be 7m wider each side apparently.

His fault also at M25 J16 (M40) to J24 (A1M) whenever that was done.
