It's a cheap way into GT3 ownership for someone. A floor pan probably would write off a car in most assessors eyes, but it doesn't mean it's unfixable altogether.
Don't really see a problem. Nice colour, sensible mileage and an upfront honest advert.
We're all different though. Luckily I could buy a straight one with no skeletons in its closet but if I could only scrape together £25k and had my heart set on a GT3 I think I'd look into that car.

No problems with the advert seems fair enough.
I would want to see pics though of damage, as a small dint wouldn't warrant a car of this nature been written off unless it was pretty severe. I could be wrong though and yes it could be a very cheap way into GT3 ownership...............but

Had it happen a car of mine, got a blow out at low speed, but on a tight bend on a narrow road, car went up an embankment and landed on a base if an old sign that had been cut and left, punctured the floor
Was lifted off, and no other damage anywhere at all on vehicle, but obviously cat d

Honest advert, and keeping the details of previous owners is a smart move by the seller.
Lotus's are easily written off through floor damage as it cant be replaced without a new chassis and no repairs are sanctioned to the chassis but the pics of that floor don't show enough to explain things IMO. Floor pan or section could be replaced pretty easily, so I'd suspect further damage and would want to see better pictures ?
I don't think that there is anything wrong with this ad. It clearly says its a Cat D car. The asking price is at least 30% lower than a straight car at this age and mileage.
Assuming that there might be a little more negotiation in the price, that the car is straight (subject to usual checks) It might make the basis of a really good track day car, strip out all the luxury bits, lighten it up a bit more and you might have a real fun car for not too much money!
The older these GT cars get, the less you will see on track, with this one you don't need to love it, just use it...

There was a red 996.2 GT3 at Oulton around 10 months ago, soaking wet and it had an off very early into the day. Car was in one of the doube garages parked right up against the door (to hide the damage) and looked to have suffered a nasty front end smack; bumper was off, few other things hanging off (pipes etc..) and the bonnet/boot had a nasty crease. Not saying it is this car becuase i dont have a picture to confirm the registration but if it is this car i am referring to then that is what i remember from that day if anyone is interested in the car.
