Waxoyl/Chassis Treatment
Discussion
After years of contemplation I finally have my longed for Chim. Very nice it is too, totally chuffed!!! Hope to see some of you out and about.
I am going to put her up on the ramp this weekend and give some treatment to the chassis...paint riggers/wishbones, followed by waxoyl top up. Any tips on carrying this out? Things to watch out for?
I am totally new to TVR ownership, although have followed the postings here. I really need the much referred to TVR Chim/Griff handbook, wonder where I can get one?
Thanks all.

Thanks all.
Ebay sell them for about £699.00.
Alternatively, you can get one via Steve Heath Publications at a slightly more realistic price.
Well done on becoming a Tivver at last. Waxoyling is my job for the winter months too!

I put mine up on 4 x axle stands to be able to get right underneath it. scraped away at the loose powder coat and used white Hammerite on the bare metal. I painted and sprayed the waxoyl on, it was pretty easy, if you think the waxoyl 50/50 with thinners it goes through one of those hand misters/sprayers no problem. In fact I used an empty trigger sprayer that had had wheel cleaner in it. Have fun... Rich...

Hello!
A useful hijack! Checked the going price so that I dont pay over the odds....
Had her up on axle stands yetserday norning, cleaned off the gunk and flaky paint (which took some time), now ready for some hammerite. Will be like a new penny under there! The neighbours think I'm a bit sad; I don't think they really understand. Thank god the girlfriend does..

I've never understood the ebay thing. How come The Bible sells for more on there (second hand) than you can buy a new one for?
There's always the 'collector' angle as well. Edition 1 is no longer in print and a fanatic may be willing to pay over the odds just so they can own it.
