Honda launches new Integra...
...but it's not quite what we were hoping for

So another LSD-equipped hardcore coupe, a valedictory hurrah for high-revving Hondas and a reimagined PH Hero? Not as such. Honda, the swines, now apply the Integra nomenclature to its motorbikes. You'll excuse us for getting excited by the headline.
The Honda Integra Sport Edition is in fact a 'maxi scooter' with a 52hp 670cc engine and a dual-clutch transmission. There's 46lb ft of torque also, which is quite a bit for a Honda petrol engine...
Those figures aren't even produced at some sky-high engine speeds either, the power and torque peaks arriving at 6,250rpm and 4,750rpm respectively.
The Sport Edition carries a few Honda Racing trinkets too, most noticeably the 17-inch wheels and a 'Sport Barracuda' smoked screen. Very sporty. The Akrapovic exhaust is a welcome addition though.
Ho hum, there's isn't another 'proper' Honda Integra then. And the closest thing to it in the Honda range is probably the USDM Civic Si coupe.
Not a looker, but it makes 200hp at 7,000rpm and has a diff, so all is not lost yet. For English folk, may we suggest eyeing up DC2s and DC5s in the PH Classifieds? This 1996 JDM Type R looks a beaut.

No idea why we don't embrace the maxi scooter in this country like they do on the continent.
I do though think it is very weird for them to use the Integra name on a scooter though. Which markets is it actually going to with that name? If its America dont they just know the Integra as RSX? If so it has no history there.

These days it seems to be a company that is controlled by accountants and greenies.
.... and yet they still make some of the best sports / racing bikes out there.
Or the new NSX that is on the way?
Or the new S2000 that is going to be a S1500 MX5 fighter? (you might have a slight point there!)
Or the new Civic Type-R?
Ouch my cheek hurts...
