Hi Guys

I am out at the Nurburgring and saw the most amazing Ur Quattro based racer. It looks like a dedicated Tarmac racer, but I am not aware of any period cars like this from the 80s.

It looked and sounded amazing, and didn't have any S-Line badges smile

Any ideas as to what it is?

That is fking horrific! yikes

If you look at the middle section/roof line/ windscreen it would suggest that it started life as a regular long wheel base Audi Coupe B2 which could of course could easily have a 10v or 20v 5 cylinder turbo engine fitted and could be Quattro.

EDIT to say as a track car that Audi looks awesome!

Love those Audi V8's. Not so sure about the Quattro! That grille is just...urgh.

I've seen this before at the ring and a few people posting about it on Audi forums, but can't find many details other than it being insanely spec'd producing around 500bhp.

Really don't understand those who think it is piece of st/ugly, it's built for purpose and is clearly rather quick/powerful!

How so? So far in this thread we've been told 500hp or 1000hp etc etc but no one has any details whatsoever to back any of it up. I'd love to see more info.

Is it not possible to be ugly and functional at the same time?
