Ok, I'm sure that this has been played out so many times and dealt with by others but not for me and i'm real fking pissed off. Dad diagnosed with Myeloma (incurable bone cancer) last March at 72, went straight in and had a titanium scaffold in his back to repair crumbling vertibrae. Had chemo and got it under control. Collapsed last october with a haemorraging kidney (called to hospital as extremely serious). got over it with a stay in hospital. This week has a stroke and is in the hospital, can't speak but is in a major state being restless and uncooperative. Today's finest moment was me restraining him very firmly to get blood drawn which took about 50 mins. Bit of a 2/10 rant but i'm so fking angry at life I could fking explode.

Yuck. In the same boat. Spent about 10 days driving to and from the hospital about 3 weeks ago after my dad experienced complications.

Where's that cancer is a fking thread?

Indeed, just found out my mum has lung cancer after 6 years of the hospital telling her she was out of breath because of a dodgy heart valve smash

My fiancée is 21 and has a untreatable condition, the oldest known survivor was early 60's. Can I join the club?

It's not so much a cancer hating thing, more a watching someone you care about deeply get kicked in the nuts again and again. Watching other relatives of other people dealing with the same st. Feeling stabbed in the heart again kind of club. All are welcome and most of us are guaranteed gold membership at some point. Worst part is lots of people have it way worse the poor bds.

Similar sort of problem beginning of this year. My dad and his wife lost there soon to be 3 year old daughter suddenly to something never before seen in the UK, basically she just suddenly died and have only just last week found out why, she died 4th January. Seeing my dad and his wife as they were was heartbreaking. Never seen anyone ever so upset.
