SFQ - tripod heads

I was just nosying through my bag and noticed my Gorillapod with ball head. I just don't use it as my 400D always has the plate for my Manfrotto tripod on it - it's too much of a faff to swap them round normally.

Can I just stick a cheap Manfrotto head on the Gorillapod to avoid the hassle? If so, any thoughts on any particular one I could pick up cheaply that would be compatible?
