Now it don't mean this to sound like a stupid question but....

Is it possible to get really effective, top of the range, all water clearing, wind screen wipers???

Mine are due to be replaced anyway but I'm not sure that they have ever been that great! The tuscan is my only car and so she gets used in all weather and I am finding the lack of vision (I know, vision is highly over rated) more of a problem that a tuscan in the wet!

Any suggestions?

Try Bosche 21S in combination with rain-x. Have used this for a few years now with good results.

Agreed, Rainex very good, and wipers absolute crap. At anything approaching a decent speed mine seem to have an arguement with the screen and wave around everywhere other than where they should be. I would also be keen to learn of some permanent residents.

agree with the rain-x comments as far as wiper blades go the PIAA silicon blades are by far the best, used by all the rally teams.

rain-x is a solution which coats the glass and reduces friction on the glass.
When applied water beads and disaqpears off the screen without using the wipers again used by most race teams and by bike racers on visors, available in the likes of halfords

Its a water repellant that if you spray/wipe onto windscreen it leaves a water repellant coating which is particularly useful over 40mph. Beads/droplets just run off leaving clear screen. Best in tandem with wipers but adequate if they fail ( and your going over 40 of course ) Just reaply when you wash car.

I will second that, make sure you get the spoiler version as that helps keep things in place at speed, otherwise you end up sinking in the seat to look through the only clear bit at the bottom of the screen

Rain-X also works great on the side windows to keep them clear
