Looking to do a bit of upgrading + got a bit of a rattle / nock from the valve train
So pushrods STD or adjustable ? What make
Rockers aluminium or steel?
Lifters ??? (Kent 218 cam)
Your advice please gents

pushrods, real steel do the adjustable ones so you can set each one to the same pre-load, unless you go solid lifters that is where you need to set the gap like you did with the old Mini engines etc wink
Rockers, they fit steel ones and say you can't tell the differance??? rolleyes
Followers... your meant to change the cam and followers together so you my want to re-consider that one smash

Will look at the cam when the time comes but I think it's a lifter that's going south as the noise go's when run for 30-60 secs

Cant do the lifters without the cam I am afraid or vice versa frown

So if I have a liffter gone the cam is todo aswel that's a stter
So what is the preffered rocker aluminium or steal?
And the push rods std or adjustable ?
If its getting done it whants doing right and doing once

You have to keep the follower~cam lobe, it is possible to rebuild the hydraulic internals, if the springs / circlips are the failure.

Unfortunately careful inspection to discover the problem is required before you start buying parts, might just be an escaped trumpet / broken rocker pad......

I'd certainly pop the plenum and rocker covers off to have a look before doing anything else.
