993 Targa Oil Leak

Hi

I've finally put a deposit down on a Black 911 993 Targa but it has an oil leak just under the drivers door which is put down to the oil return pipes which run through the car front to back.

Apparently they are tricky to source, but can people give me the sort of rough costs to get the work done and where I can get the pipes and work carried out quickly.

Want to make sure I'm not going to pay more than I think!!

I don't know how much this will cost but what I do know is that this is minor enough to not be a key consideration in whether you should buy it or not.

There are many other considerations that are far more important.

I had something similar on my 95 coupe except mine started leaking after it came back from a service at an OPC which I found disappointing.
I had to return the car twice to OPC get it sorted. First time they said they couldnt find anything wrong but second time they managed to repair it.
Cost was just over 500 but the OPC spent over 2k of workshop time to try and replace the parts due to rust forming. Luckily they agreed to write this amount off as i had agreed a fixed price beforehand.

Worse case is about £1k to replace end to end including the valve. For the older cars they come in three sections ( I think) at about £200 a shot.

Sounds like loads but its a job that will need doing eventually. Not sure how easy to get though as PC Chester have one in st the moment for the same job, end to end. They might be waiting for parts.

Just phone OPC and ask.

Don't see many black ones so quite rare I would have thought.

Thanks everyone, yes I had downloaded the parts catalogue last night and was busy trying to work out exactly what it was and where to get them from. I was thinking £500 wasn't going to cover it! Getting a full 101 point inspection from OPC but deposit down and hopefully getting it next week.
