997 gt3 carbon console parts

the centre console on my 997 gt3 is that horrible plastic so i thought iam going to put a oe carbon one in so right got the console and the small storage box in carbon that fits on the back. But just looking at this you can get 3 other carbon parts to go with this to complete the job all are non genuine so question is how good is the non oe carbon parts and do they match ie colour. Parts iam talking about are small bit that fits under handbrake and other parts are called upper gearlever surround and shift knob trim anybody fitted these before and are they any good

most Carbon parts are only covered plastic parts :-)

Carbon is so 2008 imo and done wrong look very tat.

done right is nice, but today it's all about Alcantara ;-)

Carbon is for BMW. If you fancy it, just get the console wrapped, along with all the other parts.

You'll tear it off after a month

I like carbon, as long as not overdone.. why not.. it's like aluminium inserts or anything else which will break the black plastic/leather surfaces.. why not.

Not a great fan of my 997 turbo centre console either... I've talked to a few carbon parts suppliers and seems the weave doesn't always match... the above seem to sell matching weave to the Porsche official stuff though..

Bit off topic but anyone tried carbon dipping? I'm not arsed about weight saving.... I remember seeing an F430 with dipped parts on a website somewhere... any 997 owners done it?

Is it any good look's wise compared to actual carbon? I've done a search but can't find much 997 wise...
