Got a sealed lead acid 12v 2.3a battery from maplito run my indicators on my supermomo, charging it with halfords standard battery charger set to sealed type and bike settings. Charger says suitable for all 12v auto batteries including gel types...

So, is this safe to do or am i about to burn the garage down?

Should be fine, apart from the worrying amount of masking tape holding the charger together...

Just plug it in you big Jessie! What's the worst that could happen?

It'll be fine - a sealed battery has been designed with rapid charging in mind, and should happily tolerate what you're doing to it. smile

Vince. I had so much respect for you before, but I feel that killing your garage with fire is a step too far. Perhaps you should go to the naughty corner and think about what you're risking!
