What small coffee machine?

Hi all. I'm looking for a small home coffee machine for a Christmas gift. Under 150GBP if possible. Any recommendations as I'm not really a coffee drinker.

We've had a Nespresso Citiz capsule based machine for two years and we love it. There are loads of variations in flavour including decaf. Main downside is that each capsule costs up to 30p. But the quality is consistent and good. There are lots of variations of machines and manufacturers but they all take the same capsules. If you want to froth or heat milk (eg for lattes or capuccions) then look for one with a built in Aerocinno (although the milk frother currently on sale at Aldi for £20 is very good). Whatever milk heater/frother you buy it is critical to clean it thoroughly after use.

Do you want a pod based machine or one that uses loose grounds?

We've got this Delonghi machine which is not the sleekest looking but is a design that has been in production for a long time so it's easy to use, makes tasty coffee and spare parts are actually available should the worst happen. It's just over budget but I've not really got anything negative to say about it after 2 years of use.

I've recently purchased a DeLonghi Icona.

I got it, pretty much brand new from eBay for £63. I think it's brilliant.

I had a cheap delonghi and it died after about 18 months, replaced with a gaggia classic, a much better machine IMO.
