I couldn’t find anything like this around here so lets pull our forces together and make a comprehensive guide of the “secret” treasures of our cars.

I will start with two features;

First one, windows and sunroof:

If you drive along with windows open (partially or full) or your sunroof open and you need to close them all in one touch just press and hold the air circulation button on your centre console. Once when you are out of the tunnel/dusty road/ water spray just press and hold the very same button and yours windows/sunroof will open to exactly the same position they were before.

Second one is for your remote locking (this apply to ALL models:

If you press and hold for about 3-4 sec at the same time your OPEN and LOCK buttons (on the remote) the red light will flash twice (2 times) release the buttons and now you can open ONLY the drivers door on the car by pressing the unlock button. If you press the same button second time it will open the remaining 3 doors.

Now is your turn PH’s, lets go smile

I think that probably it will, all models are using more or less the same kind of units, sometimes just the face panels are different.

Also works on my 2007 W204 C200K.
Will try on my 2006 Sprinter van and report back ...

Also, I have been using the drivers' door unlock only feature for quite some time on my Mercs.

Any other less known tips and tricks out there?

There is actually way to measure the oil level as well from inside the car. I am not sure if every model could do it but if you have control from the steering wheel I think it should work.
1. Put your display to outside temp.
2. Key to position 1
3. Press reset button (left on the cluster) 3 times
4. Temp display will change to voltage of your main battery
5. Press the up arrow once (located on the left on the steering wheel)
6. Display will change to OIL screen
7. Turn key to position 2 (DO NOT START THE ENGINE!!!)
8. In just a few sec the display will show you the quantity of your engine oil (in litres)
9. Start the engine.
10.Press the accelerator and the oil level will start changing under the engine load.
11. You are done smile

Now you know exactly how much oil is in your engine and you can monitor if you have some oil consumption. (Refer to your manual for the exact quantity depending of the model)

OBVIOUSLY to get accurate reading you need to do this when the car is with cold engine and on FLAT ground.
