Yep.....at last after a long(ish) search, I found a cracking VXT at the right price and in excellent nick.

It would have been rude not to

Now all I've got to do is sort out a few perfomance mods

Anyone know what's best to get more low/mid range grunt without blowing a fortune???

Courtenay or AmD for the mods...

Do you mind if I, rather cheekily, ask how much you paid? (Email if you prefer)

I may know someone interested in one

Good man.

Plotloss - your friend may be interested in THIS one. Cheapest VXT I've seen advertised, excellent colour, owner's club car (although he's not been that active on the forums).

Yeah I've seen that one, looks an excellent price.

Thought it being a 1st March car I did wonder if it was ex-Vauxhall.

As an aside, on vx220.org.uk recently there was discussion about the Coral Blue VXT that was advertised over there and is advertised in the classifieds here.

That one is also v.cheap but the discussion seems to have been deleted, do you know why?

Not sure - since I sold the VX, I've not kept as close an eye on the board as I used to.

There is one VERY cheap coral blue VXT on Autotrader (15k or so), but it's a Cat C. Was owned by the company PVD, who (I believe) have folded. The car had several problems with it before it wsa written off, so who knows what it's like now? The reg was B4D VX. Is this the one you're thinking of?

Nah, its a Coral one with a hardtop for £19K

There was some chat that its got grey light backs which VXT's arent supposed to have.

Went back to check again and the thread had gone...

That one in Uxbridge sounds very shady, on VCAR by all accounts.

Oh, yeah - I remember it now.

Not sure what happened to that one, but it looked pretty iffy from the pics. Lots of thoughts that it'd had a tap up the rear - wrong lights, and the exhaust didn't look straight (if memory serves), although the seller claimed it was alright.

Expect you've seen it, but some good thoughts on pricing VXTs are in THIS thread.

VXTs are a bit of a bargain at the mo - clearly they're not selling well due to Winter. Seems to have knocked off £1-2k from asking prices in the hope of getting a sale.

There is a guy called Gedi that is selling his VXT. AMD Stage 2 - RR'd at 240bhp something like 3000 miles ago.

He thinks it's much quicker now than it was then...

Despite the fact he's a linux geek, he seems like he's a reasonable guy - and has looked after his car.

Saw that one too, looks very nice, bit over my mans budget unfortunately...

To the owners on here.

Would you buy a VXT at auction?

Not qualified to say, really, but it'll still be under the original 3 year warranty. So long as it's HPI clear, I can't see a problem - just take it to Vauxhall to get any problems fixed...

As long as the numbers are right, it's in good nick, it's HPI clear and has been propely maintained.....why not?
