Going from my other thread about screaming turbo, I went out to tighten pipe work and noticed my fuel cap had gone.

I had filled up on the way back from golf earlier and after a quick think I realised I hadn't put cap back and had left it next to the filler inlet on the clam rage. I think because I was annoyed about the guy on the pump next to me parking so far away from the filler making it even harder to get in and out of the car.

Anyway, this was 15 miles away and it's on a duel carriage, so I was praying that it cam off on the acceleration section from the petrol station to the duel carriage way.

Just been back in the other car with a torch and only bloody found it biggrin.

So that's sorted but it's pretty beaten up.

Anyone know where I can get just a new cap?

Cheers

I once left mine at the pump in Switzerland and only realised when I was 30miles across the boarder on the twisty alp roads.... Mine was still on the petrol pump :-)

Demon tweeks and Merlin sell the fillers but no idea how much or model....in changing mine for a black one I have on the shelf soon :-)

I lost mine at the bottom of the Stelvio in June; got a replacement from Jetstream.

If you go with the black it's not a straight swop, it doesn't come with breather pipe outlet (not to difficult to sort)
Also the restricter is missing which is a bit scarey when filling up as it can splash back over a hot engine yikes
you can see where its been welded in, disc with 6 small holes 1 large hole.

Sounds like too much hassle for black. I'll just get new cap.

Is it the same size cap for all fillers?

top tip, make sure you put the flap down too otherwise it won't seal and will rattle.
