Great British GT race, Amazing VW Cup race and absolute carnage in the Ginetta race all shown live on Motors TV. Much, much more entertaining than the BTCC package on ITV 4. Hope there will be more coverage next season.

I saw a crashed a crashed ginetta in the ginneta race that looked a mess, the rollover cage had failed as well, very worrying . Was the driver ok?.

I think the driver only had a broken rib

I was there but have yet to see that incident.

From what I have heard about it though I would not say the roll cage failed so much as that it was utterly beaten into submission. Not a small dink into the wall, numerous barrel rolls I believe.

Rolled four times according to the guys over the tannoy.
A| driver in the VW cup was taken off by air ambulance as well I think (well, I assume that's who it was for) and his looked to have been a much lighter shunt.

Nope. AA was for a RTA on the road to the Motorway and helo was looking for somewhere to land close to that otherwise it would have landed next to the incident as there is lots of space there.

It was a fair old whack (I was about 10m away from it trackside) but I don't know if they were much more than bumped and bruised. The issue I believe was mainly that the driver (I think it was Simon Andrews) has limited mobility and so, whilst he could exit the car in a hurry, as there was no safety issue it was better to get him out nice and slowly.

was just watching this on Motors but had to give up on it, although a cracking looking race, the commentary was completely out of sync, I mean by 15 minutes or so, most annoying.
