Its a special bit that only TVR use:- it drains the battery and makes different electrical bits stop working at random.

It’d be the only way all this lot under the dash is gonna look like that diagram in the book. I note the diagram doesn’t show a nut floating about either. I’m of the opinion this nut should be residing on the end of a bolt somewhere under this dash. It’s really dark and scary under here too, I’m sure there’s some huge hairy spiders in here, and all these wires.. If i stare hard enough I can just make out a swan holding an ironing board... it's really rather pretty.
