Crawford I had that problem on mine but I loosened off the securing screws a little (not too much or the nuts might come off) on the bonnet part then put in a small shim just to tilt it downwards a little, and lower it, then tightened up the screws, trapping the shim. Now it shuts fine and solid.

Thats a good idea Adam, Thats something else on the "To-Do-List"..Mine has become a bugger to close sometimes and the catch does rattle a bit...Cheers..Ziga I discovered my bonnet catch 'slides' after a while, despite the bolts being tightened up, so that the bonnet slowly but surely sits lower and lower, until it rubs on the bodywork.
Not surprised really as the bonnet is pretty heavy, and if the catch is a Fiesta, then must be heavier than original.
Anyway fixed it by filing some washers down to make 'fill-in' pieces for the slotted holes in the catch so it can't move. Been fine with no movement since then.
