Setting ride height on adjustable coilovers
Discussion
Spent a few hours today adjusting the ride height on my newly fitted Pro Techs and I'd like to give 2 bits of advice so you don't make the same mistakes as me if you've never done this before.
1. Decreasing tension in the spring does NOT increase ride height. It's obvious when you think about it (I didn't, I just thought longer spring means more height) that increasing tension in the spring raises the height.
2. Don't adjust the height by measuring the difference between the spring collar at the bottom of the spring and keeping both springs on the same axle with the same collar to spring bottom difference as this doesn't take into account corner weight.
I'm almost there now but the light has gone so I need a small tweak on the NSF and OSR which I'll do tomorrow.
I guess the above is stating the obvious to most on here but if not it might save you an hour or so.

Your not adjusting it with the weight of the car are you ? Hope its jacked up .1. Decreasing tension in the spring does NOT increase ride height. It's obvious when you think about it (I didn't, I just thought longer spring means more height) that increasing tension in the spring raises the height.
