Saw one of these on the road today, first time I ever even heard of it, and the first time in a long time I took a second look at a car. Kia have come a long way since,

Why did you take a second look? Do you like dark blue?

It's a very nice looking car, and well equipped. I'd buy one, but for the fact it only comes with a crappy old 1.7 diesel.

The USA gets a direct injection, turbo charged 2.0 ltr which churns out 274bhp and 269lb.ft, that I'd buy!

One of these was parked near me at Costco the other week. Looks fantastic in the metal in a germanic way I thought.

A quick google suggests huge amount of kit as standard as well. Good luck to them, they have rolled the dice and they deserve success.

As for the price/warranty venn diagram that joe public is looking at these days, well, seems like its 'your move' Volkswagon!

If they had a decent engine selection they'd do a lot better I think.

The Cee'd sells very well, you see them everywhere, everyday.

The Optima is a lovely looking thing but no fleet buyers would get one with the engines they have.

That's the only real downside, I agree. Really nicely designed car.

That 2.0 turbo sounds brilliant, would make an epic sleeper - who expects a Kia to be fast?
