Just passed a silver Mk5/6 Golf estate, with a whacking great camera with more than one lens sticking out the roof, and no obvious markings - unmarked Google car, or something more sinister? It was in Middlesbrough, and I think the reg started with BK11...
The one that drove past me once was a new-ish Corse with cameras on the top, you could hear the cameras constantly clicking away from the pavement as it went past.
Saw this very same car last week, Marton crossroads. Thought it was a Google car. Vaguely remember a story a little while ago now about someone else saying they were planning on doing something similar to Streetview, but can't remember the whole story now.
