Polishing or chroming the fuel rail - which is best?
Discussion
Hi all
Just a quick question to those who have polished up or chromed their fuel
rails on the SP6.
Which would you recommend? It is made from aluminum (I think) which can be
done either way, but what is the best/most usual suggestion? I want to do it
as an option to finish up my engine bay, although also looking at a few others,
but this seems best.

Cheers!

Elbow grease.
Yep polish, at least that's what I did. I used compound then T cut then wax. You can buy metal polishes in all grades but just got the bit between my teeth and kept rubbin'. Needs doing again now. Thinking about it perhaps black would be better as it is a heat sink but then it does get hot under a Sag bonnet so may reverse the effect. Anyway looks good
