Good takeaways in Liverpool?

Morning all,
On the same theme as my thread on good takeaways in Bristol, having moved to Liverpool I'm still finding out where to eat and where to avoid. Being a regular viewer of the dirty takeaway thread, I would like to find somewhere that does these monstrous concotions, and i'd also like to find somewhere that does nice "clean" takeaways like gourmet burgers or bbq/american stuff.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Lobster Pot opposite Central Station for great chicken curry over chips
George Gerrys in Bootle for great chinese chipshop stuff with huge portions
Light of Bengal in Aigburth for great curry. Try the green chicken!
I used to live there about 6 years ago. These are places that I know are still there and are still good based on recent visits

Respectfully disagree with Lobster Pot's Chicken Curry and chips!
I speak with some authority because I get it about once a week! Only positive is that it's cheap (3.50) but I certainly wouldn't recommend it! It's basically chunks of stewed chicken thigh sat in a generic chip shop sauce all day made in a huge batch in the morning and kept warm.
Where in Liverpool are you? I know every take away in the city.

If you want a Kebab, try The Nile on Smithdown Road. They will deliver to Vine Court.
Get the Nile Mixed Grill. It weighs about 1kg.
It consists of grilled chicken, chunks of lamb, lashings of donner, chicken wings and lamb ribs - served with salad on a freshly baked naan. Get a pot of The Nile Special Sauce to have on the side.

When I was at uni in Liverpool around 5-6 years ago, I ate a lot of takeaways. I personally found that the takeaways in town weren't a patch on the ones down Smithdown Road, though I think my 2 favourites (Kebaabish and Casa Pizza) have closed down.
There was a decent chinese chippy in the parade of shops behind the law building, though no idea if it's around, far nicer then the lobster pot.
For really decent and well priced food, give Kimos a go on Mount Pleasant. Went back there last year and my mates really enjoyed it too, was glad to see that the appeal hadn't worn off now we were no longer students.

Actually one of the best Chinese I ever had was in liverpool. Went to visit mates from uni and ended up breaking down just outside in a place called Crosby. I remember waiting ages for a recovery truck. I went for a wonder and found a chip shop. I say chip shop, but the menu was vast, hundreds of small fluorescent signs advertising various dishes, mostly Chinese. That is where I first discovered salt and pepper chips.. To this day I still have cravings for salt and pepper chips and hot and sour soup... Why oh why do I live down south!
Not sure if thread hijack, as the two tend to go hand in hand, anyone got any good pub recommendations? Proper cosy, comfy pubs with good beer? Not really interested in sports bars.
Also just remembered, The Font is fantastic for a full breakfast (opposite the Met cathedral). Got a Wii to play mariokart with your mates too!
