Alternative roads around the EVO triangle

I was there this weekend in the Stradale and it was superb.

However, it did get me thinking that there must be other roads with 30 minutes of the triangle that must be as good, if not better? I'm more interested in having fun at the NSL on a bendy road with good visibility, than on some long straight...

I've caught wind of the B4391 to LLangynog, but didn't get to see it.

Could anyone comment on roads NEAR the triangle (as opposed to a couple of hours away)?

A494 to Ruthin is good - linky

A4086 to Caernarfon is good as well - linky

Arguably in a Stradale the A55 from Conwy to Llanfairfechan is good as there are a few longish tunnels.

The B5105 SW out of Ruthin is excellent and very quiet.
